Brotherhood

The Vassar Temple Brotherhood, as an arm of the Temple, provides a venue for Temple men to socialize, network, and have fun while volunteering available time and effort to help the Temple in whatever way we can. We achieve this goal through a variety of activities throughout the year including:

  • Annual erection of the Temple Sukkah
  • Brotherhood Shabbat
  • Community Lunch Box
  • Brotherhood game night
  • Bike rides on the Harlem Valley Rail Trail
  • Small repairs around the Temple building
  • Marist College Basketball games with the kids
  • Baseball games at Dutchess Stadium
  • Walks on the Walkway Over the Hudson
  • Occasional hikes on the Appalachian Trail
  • Sponsoring the Oneg after the annual Sisterhood Shabbat
  • Religious School Opening Day Hot Dog Lunch
  • Yom HaShoah Yellow Candle program (to memorialize the six million Jews who perished in the Holocaust)
  • … and other events benefiting the Vassar Temple community

If you would like more information, have ideas for programming, or would like to be added to the Brotherhood email distribution list, please contact Glenn Tanzman (president) at brotherhood@vassartemple.org
Specific plans are also announced via the Temple emails.

All Temple members are welcome at our meetings and events.
